Located in Bolivar Penisula, Texas and designed by Julie Barret from Julie Barrett Design, this farmhouse-style beach house features 5 bedrooms, 5.5 bathrooms and about 4800 sq ft. Here, the interior designer shares more details.
“This coastal farmhouse was such a fun project. My mission was to create a soothing playful palette which reflected a relaxed atmosphere with a high level of sophistication. Using subtle seaside references I hit upon just the right combination of calm and durability, infusing rooms with soft hues grounded with neutral pieces. Materials such as linen, sunbrella and seagrass create a family friendly oasis.”

Exterior Details: James Hardie: Mix of horizontal and board and batten.
Roof: Architectural Black Fiberglass Shingles.
All Windows: Showcase Storm Resistant (large windows with unobstructed views of the Gulf)

This entire beach house feels airy and features amazing ocean views! When it comes to the foyer, I am loving the combination of crisp white shiplap with the dark hardwood floors.

Coastal Farmhouse Kitchen
There’s so much to love about this kitchen, from its shiplap walls, the islands and not to mention that incredible greywashed shiplap ceiling!
Ceiling Details: Ceiling features gray washed rough cut cedar planks.
Backsplash: white glass subway tiles.

With the exception of the living room all ceilings are 10′ high.

The dining room features close-in ocean views and plenty of space for entertaining.
