Designed by Calista Interiors, this family home features many new and inspiring ideas for modern farmhouse interiors.
The open layout allows every family member to feel connected while a spacious farmhouse kitchen with shaker-style cabinets and white marble countertop is the center of the house.

Family Home with New Modern Farmhouse Interiors
A custom black front door with sidelights contrasts against crisp white siding.
Siding is 4″ Hardie Artisan Lap Siding.
The windows are from Jeld Wen.
Foyer
Door & Sidelights: The sidelights and door were a custom design. They were fabricated for the designer by Jeld Wen, but are not part of their regular offering.
Interior Inspo
Paint Color: Benjamin Moore OC-130 Cloud White.
Mirror is Capital Lighting M343478 34″H x 34″W Round Mirror.
Flooring
The hardwood flooring is Hickory from Kentwood Floors.
Family Room
The foyer opens to the formal living room with marble surround fireplace flanked by bookshelves.
Color Palette
The living room features a soft color scheme of light blues, light greens, turquoise and creamy whites.
Kitchen
I love the open and spacious feel of this kitchen.
Appliances are Sub Zero and Wolf.
Kitchen Cabinet
The cabinets are White from Bellmont cabinetry. Cabinets feature shaker doors.
Backsplash
Maintaining Marble Backsplash: The Carrara marble subway tiles need to be sealed and well-maintained. If you go with a natural stone make sure you are taking care of it, and cleaning it with the proper cleaners for the material (Scrubbing bubbles types, and abrasives like Comet would not be recommended for this material).
Countertop
This white kitchen features polished white marble countertop on the island and also on the perimeter cabinets. The countertop is Carrara White Polished Marble from MSI.
Kitchen Flooring
Hickory hardwood flooring is carried to the kitchen and to the entire dining area. Floors are lye/smoke treated 7-8″ wide hickory floor with a penetrating finish.
Island Dimensions
What a great kitchen island layout! The Island is 4’x12′.
Mesh Wire
The designer added mesh wire to some of the cabinets to bring a farmhouse feel to the kitchen.
White Kitchen
I love how warm and textured this white kitchen feels. There’s nothing cold about this space.
Faucet
The kitchen faucet is Blanco – Meridian Single Handle Deck Mounted Kitchen Faucet with Pull Down Hand spray.
Lighting
Island pendants are Visual Comfort.
Dutch Door
The designer custom designed the Dutch door and had it manufactured by Buffelen.
Walls are Benjamin Moore Cloud White. Trim and door color is custom to match color of built in cabinetry.
Butler’s Pantry
Kitchen opens to a butler’s pantry with honed Coastal Pental Quartz countertop.
Powder Room
The powder room features floor-to-ceiling tongue and groove paneling, painted in Benjamin Moore Simply White.
The sconces are from Pottery Barn.
Staircase
Dark stained wood beautifully contrasts with a white shiplap wall paneling.
Master Bathroom
The master bathroom features a long and wide curbless walk-in shower.
Tile
Shower features white subway tile on walls and 1″ Hex Arabescato Carrara tile on floors and shower niche.
Plumbing fixtures are by Rohl.
Guest Bathroom
The countertop is Pentals’ Coastal Gray quartz.
Shower Tile
Shower Tile: Travertine Silver Crosscut Tile.
Laundry Room
This narrow and long laundry room features two pairs of stacked washer and dryer and a long countertop for folding.
