The approach drive winds through an orchard of apple and peach trees. The stone farmhouse was designed to appear as if it was expanded over time.

Exterior Paint Color: The architects selected Benjamin Moore AC-2 Berkshire Beige for the exterior siding & trim. They felt it was a nice complement to the stone. The terrace is New York bluestone in a natural cleft finish. The stone on the walls is locally quarried “Lake Waramaug Stone“, which varies in color from soft golds, to grey to deep brown.

The rear terrace is the focus of the family’s outdoor living and includes a pergola, outdoor kitchen and fire pit.

The entrance porch is paved in bluestone and features twin swings. For the porch paving the architects selected random-sized bluestone in a natural cleft finish.

Red Barn Paint Color
The architects wanted a classic New England barn red, so selected “Benjamin Moore HC-183 Country Redwood.” for the siding. The windows are trimmed in a crisp “Brilliant White“, also from Benjamin Moore. The house was designed to imply a rambling collection of barns, clustered around a courtyard.
