Beautifully designed by Amy Studebaker of Amy Studebaker Design (one you should follow on Instagram!), this traditional home features an inspiring color scheme and a timeless appeal.
The clients wanted to take an older home with character and charm and create a space that would function for a family of five, while still keeping the integrity of the home. The designer created more space with a small addition to give the clients a larger kitchen and hearth room. They also wanted to incorporate some family heirloom pieces into the design of their home, while also creating a space that felt fresh and reflected their personal style. The designer brought new life to many of the heirloom pieces with new fabrics, paint colors, and finishes. A mix of old and new throughout the design created a cohesive and personal touch to this home.

Traditional Home Design Ideas
This is my favorite room in this home. I absolutely love the gentle color scheme and the layout. Anyone can feel comfortable and at easy here.

This chic and classic powder room features a custom furniture-looking vanity with white marble countertop and floor-to-ceiling paneling, painted in a custom charcoal stain color.
Mirror, runner and lighting are vintage.

The master bedroom feels refined and elegant. The wallcovering is Schumacher Burley Orpington – Blue wallpaper.

What a beautiful and fresh bathroom design! Not everyone would choose this color to use in a bathroom but I think it’s very inspiring, not to mention that it works perfectly with the veins found in the marble tile.
